Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address to send you our newsletter.
  • Tool suggestions and requests: if you suggest a tool or post a request, we store the text you submit. Requests are shown publicly on the site, so please don’t include personal information.
  • Messages: if you email us, we keep your email address and message to reply to you.

Information collected automatically

  • Anonymous usage counts: when you click “Visit” on a tool, we count the click to calculate our Trending list. We do not link this to your identity.
  • Spam protection: to prevent abuse of forms and votes, we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for a short time. We cannot turn it back into your IP address.
  • Saved tools: tools you bookmark are stored only in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to us.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and maintenance.

Third-party services we use

  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are submitted by humans. Cloudflare may process technical data from your browser. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts loads the fonts on our pages, which shares your IP address with Google.
  • cdnjs (Cloudflare) delivers the code for our 3D background.
  • Google is used to display website icons (favicons) for some tools.
  • Groq is an AI service we use to read the public websites of AI tools and write their descriptions. We do not send your personal data to Groq.

Advertising and cookies

We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

  • You can turn off personalised ads in your Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
  • You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info.
  • Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

How we use information

We use information to run and improve LatgenHub, send the newsletter you asked for, reply to messages, keep the site safe from spam and abuse, and show ads.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Hashed IP addresses for spam protection: up to 1 hour for rate limits, and longer only for vote counting.
  • Click counts: up to 60 days.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, by emailing [your email address]. Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act or the EU GDPR), you may have additional rights.

Children

LatgenHub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
